Tree House Layout At Belize Treehouses

The reasons behind constructing the tree house units at Belize Treehouses were manifold. When Caves Branch Jungle & Adventure Lodge needed to expand, instead of cutting down valuable, pristine rainforest, we decided to build among the trees. Thus, Belize Treehouses was born – a resort complex made up of elegant rooms set high up within the jungle canopy. Since many of our guests are new to the concept of treehouse accommodations, we make sure to provide floor plans on our website to give them an idea of what the rooms look like. See the infographic below for the layout of a Canopy View Treehouse unit, created from the unit’s floor plan (please click to zoom!):

After climbing a flight of steps to the front door of the Canopy View tree house, you gain access to the inside of the unit via a short corridor. Just off this corridor is an outdoor shower, on your left as you enter the unit. The corridor leads to the lower deck, where there is a sitting area. From the lower deck you can climb a short stairway to the bedroom, which has a king-sized bed overlooking the lower levels. Adjacent to the bedroom is a luxuriously appointed bathroom containing a separate shower closet with screened-in outdoor views. From both the bathroom and the bedroom you can gain access to the living room, which contains a large, spacious sitting area and a bunk bed tucked against one wall. On the second floor is a private deck with a two-person soaker tub accessed by a stairway off of the main floor bedroom. This unit, as well as all other units on the property, also includes:

  • Electric lights and fans
  • Hot and cold water
  • Electrical outlets for charging batteries
  • Screens on all windows to keep out jungle critters
  • Furniture made from local hardwoods and cane, and finished with natural materials
  • Regional marble from Mexico and Guatemala
  • Exquisite local art pieces

The Canopy View units are located farther uphill than our other rooms; however, they are worth every step of the climb, as they afford a magnificent view of the valley below. See our photo gallery page for 360ᵒ virtual tours of our accommodations and jungle views from the units.

The other tree house units on property include the River View and River View 2-bedroom units.

There are also regular rooms – ground-level jungle bungalows and cabanas, for those who have reservations about sleeping among the treetops, as well as jungle suites. However, most of our guests rave about the treehouse experience:

“We splurged for a treehouse suite – best money spent ever. I still miss the jungle shower.”

“We stayed in the Tree House room, so much better than I had imagined! Huge room, with netting acting as 3 of the walls so you really heard the sounds of the creatures at night…SO COOL!!! It did take a little to get used to, and the night of the lightning storm was the craziest we have ever had.”

“This place is absolutely beautiful! So tranquil and serene. If you want to experience the jungle in Belize than this is certainly the place to do it! I stayed in a two bedroom treehouse that was incredible! The room was very spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. They even manufacture their own soap on property, which is wonderful. In saying that, I was able to take my first bath ever outside! Over looking the jungle canopy with a warm breeze…….amazing! The treehouse had an outdoor shower as well, which of course I made use of. The property is wonderful, so lush and green. They had a schedule of adventures that you can choose from daily, so there is no boredom! The swimming pool was a great way to relax as well. The food was wonderful and the staff very accommodating! I can’t wait to return and enjoy this jungle paradise again!”

Scenes, Comfort & Adventures in Belize…

There is nothing more beautiful than scenes of nature groomed and maintained by man. The Hummingbird Highway in Belize holds some of the most beautiful scenes while traveling. You can pass though tons of rows in citrus orchards.

On the far backdrop of your view there lies the beautiful Maya Mountains that peak over the jungle and waterfalls below. It’s just a constant picture of perfect scenes. In addition to all the scenes you must stop along your way for a new definition of comfort and style in the jungle. The most beautiful tree houses in Belize! These too have a majestic view of the Caves Branch River and the canopy. The sunrise, accommodations and the night time jungle noises are just a few things to give you an idea of what you are about to discover. Words cannot match your experience.

Last but not least – the adventures in Belize. Click here for a list of the most exciting adventures you can attempt. You can easily explore the classic Maya ceremonial chambers and huge caverns that contain artifacts and calcified skeletons. You can also visit the Blue Hole, which lies just across the way, it is 25 feet deep with a sapphire blue swimming hole in a 328 feet wide cenote formed due to the caving of the roof in the underground tributaries of the Sibun River. Visit a historical archeological site such as Xunantunich (Maiden of the Rock). This Mayan ruin tour is visually impressive: “El Castillo” is wrapped by magnificent hieroglyphs – it was built during the peak of the Mayan civilization.

You may climb to the top of “El Castillo”, the second tallest Maya temple in Belize, towering over 130 ft above the main plaza. From the top you will have breathtaking scenes of the Macal, Mopan and Belize River Valley below.
If you are not faint of heart, definitely try the Black Hole Drop. It is a large sinkhole where the ground has caved into an underlying cave, forming a huge hole in the ground that drops 300 feet. As you hike up the 4th hill you get your first view of the massive sinkhole and looking at the cliff face you begin to get butterflies about repelling off of it. You’ll then hike around the edge of the sinkhole to where your guides will rig a system of rappelling ropes for you to descend to the basin below.

As you lean over the edge you’ll feel a rush of adrenaline. This is by far the hardest part, learning to trust the rope. It’s a bit scary at first, but you’ll quickly get comfortable and then it’s a scenic descent 300 feet to the bottom. The views you’ll take in of the huge sinkhole and surrounding jungle are majestic. The shared adventure and exhilaration of the rappelling adventure has given it the status of “mother of all caves”.
This is not all though, you cannot forget about cave tubing, zip lining, bird watching, snorkeling, diving and much more. If you are up for a Belize vacation filled with scenes, comfort and adventures then www.belizetreehouses.com is your one stop shop. Check it out for yourself – anticipate the adrenaline!

Here’s why you need an ADVENTURE in your life!

Have you ever walked around at home or at work or on the way from the grocery store and felt that you are missing something in your life. It may be an experience or an understanding of the priorities in your life. Below is a list of things that you will experience when your life is screaming to you that it is ready to go beyond the familiar to discover experiences that may change the rest of your life or at least give you a different point of view on certain things.

  • 40+ hours of your week is spent at work every year until your senses have started to feel dull. You feel it all in your bones that you need a breath of fresh air but you are just not sure where to get that.
  • City nature: packed sidewalks, traffic jams, pigeons in the park and lot and lots of business suits aren’t just as interesting anymore.
  • All-inclusive resorts feel unnatural and you get bored after only a few days.
  • You feel that there’s more to travelling than big lighted cities, museums and eating regular food..
  • When you see adventure gear you wish you could go somewhere that you can actually use those things such as: helmets, life jackets, kayaks, and rappelling hooks.
  • The places on Nat. Geo. seem a bit magical and you daydream about what it would be like to be there or even to sleep in Belize tree houses. Lush rainforest and wild jungle noises calls your attention like it never did before.
  • You scroll through Pinterest and look at all the outdoor pictures of places that just seem unreal and you read every little story that talk about a unique adventure. You kind of live your adventure through other people’s experiences.

If you can admit to at least four of these points then you know you need some adventure in your life. Be willing to go beyond your comfort zone – it’s good for your heart! Immerse yourself in the possibilities: www.belizetreehouses.com
